"Pura" or Pure in latin, is the perfect word to describe the sounds produced by our drums. Indeed the word Pura is meant to portray the pure rhythm of the islands.

. Inspired by European Handpans and traditional Carribean island steel drums we at Pura Drums have taken into our own hands to create our version of these beautiful instruments and add a fun tune to it.

Hand hammered with pure premium sustainable steel and copper alloy in Nepal. The drums are finished with a propriety nitriding layer coating for added sound crispness.

All drums are passionately built to order and hand crafted to tuning perfection.

We carry the D minor scale (with our unique tuning) in 9 tones as it produces intensely clear and rhythmic sounds that our customers love.

The Pura Scale

Our Pura minor scale often feels mysterious and relaxing. It can also feel uplifting, intense and even suspenseful depending on how it is played. Generally speaking, our mystical minor scales are highly popular requests and repeat buys. Our D minor (demonstrated at top) has a unique propriety tuning twist and is the default option.

These scales tend to have a good amount of mystery but also offer positive resolve. They can be relaxing and also driving.

Scale Customization: Yes we can make and tune your drum to any scale you request. If your desired scale is not on our page, simply request in the order confirmation email after or before placing your order.
